En: Ever, since Milan came into our lives the walks in the parks, have become a must-do on our lists. I’ll be honest and admit that we did not use to go to the parks often before we had him. But now I am eager to take him out, to have him interact as much as possible with the world outside our home yard. He is a very social kid, he may get shy and anxious in a room full of adults in the beginning but once past that he gets out of his shell. He seems very attracted to kids. When he sees some, he walks towards them. This is another reason why I like to take him out as much as possible since he doesn’t go to day care and doesn’t interact with other kids on a daily basis.
For almost two years now Dallas has had a beautiful park in the heart of the city, in the arts district. I call it the Central Park of Dallas, event though it has its own name, Klyde Warren Park. And my comparison might be slightly off because the original Central Park is huge compared to ours but in the end, it was not me who said Dallas was the New York of the South. Anyway, this gorgeous landscape offers plenty of attractions in one place, from the food trucks that sell all kind of food, to the mini library, the game station and the kids play yard. One can easily grab his family and spend the entire day in the park without getting bored or hungry. Below you can see a few pictures from our trips to the park and I definitely recommend you to try it if you are from the area. Overall my recommendation would be to go out to parks, spend your day outdoors, surrounded by a lot of green and engage in healthy activities.
De aproape doi ani in Dallas a aparut un parc de toata frumusetea chiar in inima orasului, in districtul artelor.
Milan is a very strong willed child, if you don’t let him have it his way, moods can change in a fraction of a second. It must be cool to be a first child, all desires are met 😛
He tried the popsicles, in the beginning, he could not understand why that tasty thing was so cold, but he managed to finish it and have mommy’s dress all in melted ice popsicle juice. Kids are fun!
God forbid someone took his ball away from him, balls are his favorite toys, he calls them even in his sleep 😀
